Foreign Students Admission Committee(FSAC) with the Vice Chancellor at its helm scrutinizes the applications and decides on the admissibility or otherwise of the students. The FSAC will include two members of the Syndicate, Registrar, Controller of Examinations, two Heads of Departments, two Deans of Faculties, Vice Chairman of the Curriculum Committee, Chairman, Director of the Directorate of International Academics and Registrar of the Academic branch. The applications for the Research Registration shall be considered by the FSAC along with the recommendations of the Foreign Students Doctoral Committee(FSDC).
If you are found eligible, PROVISIONAL ADMISSION MEMO will be issued to you. On receipt of the memo you may route the required documents through the embassy/consulate to the University. When all the preliminary procedures are completed, the University will issue an ALLOTMENT LETTER to you confirming your admission, directing you to report to the college/department where you are expected to join the course.
If you have applied for the PhD course, a provisional certificate will be issued after obtaining the recommendation of the Concerned Doctoral Committee for obtaining the research visa from the respective Indian Embassy. You need to produce the research visa within 6 months and on submission of that, your provisional registration will be confirmed.
